Common Coupon Terms
Here's a list of some of the most common coupon terms that you'll find on my site and all over the internet. It's kind of like a secret language. I know it's easy to get overwhelmed, but you’ll pick them up quickly and soon you’ll be speaking the secret language too! Enjoy!
SS: SmartSource insert in your paper.
RP: Red Plum insert in your paper.
P&G: Proctor & Gamble insert in your paper. Usually comes once a month.
ECB: Extra Care Bucks, CVS “cash” earned when you buy certain items & prints at the bottom of your receipt.
RR: Register Rewards, Walgreens “cash” earned when you buy certain items & prints out separately from receipt, from a separate machine.
Cat/Catalina: print out from the Catalina machine next to the receipt printer.
Peelie: found on packages.
Blinkie: Coupons from the red “blinking” SmartSource machines in the store aisles. These are the ones that your kids already love to grab!
Printable: Coupon printed from the internet.
MIR: Mail In Rebate.
CRT: Cash Register Tape, these are coupons that print at the bottom of your receipt.
OOP: Out Of Pocket, the amount of cash you pay “out of pocket”.
WYB: When You Buy.
BOGO or B1G1: Buy One, Get One Free.
YMMV: Your Mileage May Vary (you may or may not be successful with this deal).
